Men who take vacations every year lowered the risk of heart disease by 20%. Those who did not have a vacation for the 5 years of the study had the highest mortality and incidence of heart disease.

Workers receiving the alerts on the job to take breaks were 13 percent more accurate on average in their work than coworkers who were not reminded. The more these workers typed, the better their accuracy: the fastest typist made almost 40 percent fewer errors than the counterparts who did not receive the computer alerts.

**A study conducted in Australia found that people who engage in “Workplace Internet Leisure Browsing” (WILB) are more productive than those who don’t. Workers who surf the internet for fun at work – within a reasonable limit of less than 20 percent of their total time in the office – are more productive by about 9 percent.
